Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boromir Khan (ranked 3222 p4p, 3169 weight class) and Benny Jet (ranked 114 p4p, 111 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Boromir Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Benny Jet!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan avoids the head kick by Jet.
Nice shot lands for Khan.

It looks like Benny Jet has been cut.
A thudding body kick lands there by Jet!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Jet.
Jet connects with a body shot.
Khan scores with a nice strike.
Jet's coach down at Irish Collar & Elbow Academy (ICE) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jet's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Khan moves into the clinch.
Jet goes for a takedown attempt but Khan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jet loads up on a big right hand but Khan slips the punch.
Khan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jet ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jet closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Jet is trying to force a seperation but Khan has the dominant position.

Khan pulls guard successfully.
Jet is looking to work some ground and pound but Khan has wrist control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jet accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Khan pushes Jet off and scrambles back to his feet.

Jet pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Khan pushes Jet up against the cage in a clinch.
Jet has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Khan stalls.

Jet drags the fight down to the ground.
Khan is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khan cracks Jet with a solid left hand.
Jet is pulling down on Khan's head to control his posture.
Khan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Jet has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Khan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Khan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Khan is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Jet presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Khan pushes Jet off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Khan drives through and clinches with Jet against the cage.

Jet pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jet lands with an uppercut that bounces Khan off the cage and back into range.

It looks like Boromir Khan has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Khan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jet to the ground. Khan is now in Jet's guard.

Jet manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Khan manages to get himself to full guard.

Khan wants to stand up but Jet is controlling him.
Jet is looking to work some ground and pound but Khan has wrist control.

Khan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Khan manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Jet fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Khan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jet on his heels. He'll look to pass Jet's guard now, I'm sure.

We've been hearing good reports from Khan's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Jet manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Khan manages to get himself to full guard.

Jet gets control of Khan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jet will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Jet sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Khan's guard.

Khan manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Jet keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Jet breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Benny Jet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Khan throws a looping overhand right but Jet ducks down to avoid it.
Jet ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Jet lands a high kick to the side of Khan's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Jet dives into guard, looking to finish.

Khan manages to escape and get back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Boromir Khan will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Khan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Khan for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

This has been an exciting period of action!

A solid leg kick lands there for Jet.
Khan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jet can do to turn this around?

Jet instigates a clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Khan takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Jet tries to score a body lock takedown but Khan shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Jet jumps guard but Khan stands there with Jet around his waist. Jet gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jet wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Benny Jet has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Jet breaks the clinch.
Jet lands with a hook. Khan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Khan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Jet wants to sweep here but Khan controlling him for the moment.
Jet takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Boromir Khan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Khan engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Jet is pulling down on Khan's head. It's preventing any offense from Khan, at least for the moment.
Jet can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Khan controls the pace.

Khan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jet has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Khan has managed to get both his arms back between Jet's legs - danger averted.

And that's the end of the fight!
Boromir Khan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Khan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
