Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mini Island!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Raymond Waters!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Island bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Island sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Waters is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Island advances nicely into full mount.
Island thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Island postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Waters looks a forlorn figure.

Island trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Island throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Waters because Island loaded up on that one.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Waters really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Island. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Island lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Waters hang on?
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Waters can do anything to dispel that myth.

Island misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Waters takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Island's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
