Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chris McCocker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, James Island! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Island with a hook. McCocker closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McCocker lands in his opponent's guard. McCocker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. McCocker stopping the sweep attempt from Island. Island throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! McCocker escapes and throws Island's legs to the side, diving into side control! Island is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on McCocker's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for McCocker! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Island has tapped! This one is allllll over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Chris McCocker! Chris McCocker gave a mention to Island clothing lite in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
