Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hidoki Masawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinnie Barbarino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Barbarino's choice of entrance music: The Barbarino song. Hidoki Masawa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbarino will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Masawa misses with a takedown
and Barbarino counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Barbarino lands a nice short elbow.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Barbarino accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
