Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Theodore Nouveau (ranked 1736 p4p, 3182 weight class) and Aaron Petrov (ranked 238 p4p, 378 weight class). Petrov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Star.One - Original Badman Feat. Takura & Assassin kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Aaron Petrov will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nouveau.
Nouveau closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Nouveau takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Nouveau looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Petrov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Petrov shoots for a double leg takedown but Nouveau sprawls well. He's pushed Petrov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Theodore Nouveau is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nouveau does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Nouveau will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Petrov is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Petrov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nouveau looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nouveau looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nouveau!
Nouveau stands up and beckons Petrov to his feet.

Petrov wants to take the fight to the mat but Nouveau manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Theodore Nouveau has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Petrov.

Petrov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nouveau swivels though and keeps the full guard.
