Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cassus Fett (ranked 1513 p4p, 1537 weight class) and Carlton Smithers (ranked 76 p4p, 75 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smithers looks to score with a jab to the body but Fett is just out of range.
Fett catches Smithers with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Fett lands a right hook to the body.
A jab from Fett does it's job there.
Fett changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Fett scores with the left hand. Smithers knows he should have avoided that one.
Smithers is looking to score with low kicks.
Fett checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Fett comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Smithers. That snapped Fett's head back.
Donk. Fett catches Smithers right on the button with a cross.
Smithers drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fett moves away from the strike by Smithers.
Smithers lands with a good body shot.
Fett lands a jab to Smithers's midsection.
Smithers looks winded!
Fett's corner calls for a 1-2. Fett obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Smithers slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Smithers slips under a jab.
Smithers swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Fett looks to land a left hand but Smithers moved out of range nicely.
Smithers is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Smithers on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Fett lunges at Smithers with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Smithers's hand.
Smithers takes a swing at Fett's ribcage but misses.
We've been informed that Smithers has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Smithers throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Smithers misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fett.
Smithers has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fett finds it's way round the side to connect with Smithers's head.
Smithers walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Smithers shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Smithers is rocked!

Fett cracks Smithers with a big right hand and Smithers goes down!
Smithers is still in real trouble! Can Fett finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fett gets to his feet and stands over Smithers, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Smithers felt that one! Fett unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Smithers from any more punishment!

After the fight, Cassus Fett was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
