Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Xue Fang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 47 - 1, fighting out of New York, Lyle Alzado!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fang lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Alzado tries to move into range but Fang moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
An inside leg kick from Alzado misses.
Fang connects with the punch.
Fang moves out of range as Alzado strikes.
Alzado throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It looked like Fang wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Fang dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Fang lands a nice leg kick that just misses Alzado's sensitive parts.
Alzado tries to land a body kick
and Fang counters with a nice body shot.
Fang darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Fang connects with a body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Alzado misses the shot to the body.
Fang fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Alzado to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Alzado looks to clinch but Fang throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Alzado taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Xue Fang!
A relieved looking Xue Fang thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
