Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauro Okongwu (ranked 114 p4p, 36 weight class) and Tali Ihantala (ranked 8 p4p, 2 weight class). Okongwu comes to the cage accompanied by Show Stop - REASON. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Mauro Okongwu has been cut.
Okongwu scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Ihantala throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Okongwu counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Okongwu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Okongwu.
Ihantala lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Ihantala throws a nice outside leg kick.
Okongwu misses with a series of wild punches.
Ihantala looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Okongwu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ihantala.
Ihantala keeps the fight on the outside.
Ihantala throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Okongwu sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Okongwu counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Tali Ihantala seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Okongwu takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Okongwu moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Ihantala clobbers Okongwu with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

enabling Okongwu to counter with a crisp jab.
Ihantala throws a lazy right hand but Okongwu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Okongwu counters with a nice uppercut.
Ihantala needs to keep his hands up - Okongwu had a free shot at his head there.
Okongwu with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ihantala to score with a decent uppercut.

Mauro Okongwu's cut is getting worse.

Ihantala fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Okongwu gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Ihantala counters with a nice uppercut.

Okongwu lands a big right hand that sends Ihantala crashing to the mat! Okongwu stays standing though and waves Ihantala back to his feet!

Ihantala is rocked!

It looks like Tali Ihantala has been cut.
Okongwu punishes Ihantala's body with a nice straight punch.
Okongwu swings for the body but Ihantala moves out of range.
Ihantala throws a solid leg kick but Okongwu takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Ihantala.

Okongwu cracks Ihantala with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ihantala looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Okongwu finish him?
Ihantala is still on wobbly legs! Can Okongwu finish him?
Ihantala switches off momentarily and Okongwu cracks him with a monster right hand! Ihantala topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Okongwu dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Okongwu!
