The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Carlos with that takedown attempt.
Carlos throws a leg kick but Nimoy sees it coming and moves out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Nimoy on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

It looked like Nimoy was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Carlos.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carlos tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carlos has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Nimoy avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Carlos.
Carlos is looking to take a break and control but Nimoy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Carlos lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Nimoy down.
Carlos is working to tighten his grip on Nimoy's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Nimoy has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Carlos is really squeezing tight and eventually Nimoy passes out! Carlos breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
