Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Nimoy (ranked 1185 p4p, 1016 weight class) and Bryan Gracie (ranked 173 p4p, 149 weight class). Gracie has chosen Limp Bizkit - Rollin' as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leonard Nimoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bryan Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nimoy thows a left - swing and a miss!
Gracie misses with a straight left.
Bryan Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nimoy tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nimoy to the ground. Nimoy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gracie misses with an uppercut.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gracie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Nimoy is trying to control Gracie's posture but Gracie avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nimoy tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gracie wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Nimoy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Gracie has an Americana. Nimoy didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gracie is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gracie hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Bryan Gracie!
Bryan Gracie tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
