Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Carter Simon (ranked 4496 p4p, 4220 weight class) and Gunner Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gunner Mason has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carter Simon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gunner Mason!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simon throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Mason counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Simon thinking.
Mason throws a shot to the body.
Simon doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Simon tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mason defends well and Simon ends up having to push Mason into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Simon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Simon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Simon drops back looking for a leg! Mason is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mason manages to kick Simon off! Simon jumps back into Mason's guard.
Mason is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Simon is controlling him.
Mason controls Simon momentarily but Simon frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mason wants to get back to his feet but Simon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Simon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Simon wants to pass the guard but Mason is keeping the position.
Simon won't allow Mason to get back to his feet.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Simon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Simon stands and steps away. Mason gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mason swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Simon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Simon tries to clinch but Mason moves out of range.
Simon fails with the takedown
and Mason counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Simon is breathing heavily.
Mason circles away from the clinch attempt.
Simon rushes Mason and presses him up against the cage.
Simon can't break the clinch.
Simon has had enough of the clinch but Mason keeps him there for the moment.
Mason lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Simon.
Simon tries to break the clinch but Mason is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mason working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Mason's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Simon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Simon moves to clinch but Mason breaks away
and Mason counters with a nice body shot.
Mason has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Simon.
Simon is looking to score with low kicks.
Mason swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Simon tries for a takedown but Mason circles away easily
and Simon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carter Simon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Simon misses with a takedown
and Mason counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Mason cracks Simon with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Simon looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Mason finish him?
Simon is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mason misses with a head kick.
Oh Simon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mason lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
