Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Molnar (ranked 4226 p4p, 3275 weight class) and Marco Peccati (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Molnar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Steve Molnar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marco Peccati! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peccati blocks a head kick by Molnar.
Peccati dives in and scores a takedown into Molnar's guard. Peccati not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Molnar is looking to sweep but instead, Peccati has passed into half guard.
Molnar wants to improve his position but Peccati is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peccati not doing much here.
Peccati is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Molnar has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peccati tries to pass to full mount but Molnar defends it. Molnar is trying to stand up here but Peccati is controlling him well. Molnar tries to roll over but Peccati keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fighters are battling for position here. Molnar manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Peccati sitting in guard here, content to control. Molnar wants to sweep but no luck. Peccati looking to pass the guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Peccati looks for a takedown but Molnar sprawls well. Molnar with the inside leg kick. Molnar leaves Peccati with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Molnar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Peccati circles away. Peccati shoots in for a takedown but Molnar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Steve Molnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Peccati. Molnar throws a quick inside leg kick. Molnar throws a leg kick which misses Peccati's front leg but catches the back leg as Peccati tries to avoid it. Peccati throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Molnar tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Peccati is in Molnar's guard. Peccati's corner is telling him to maintain position. Peccati sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Molnar's guard. Molnar wants to get back to full guard but Peccati has passed into side control. Peccati content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Peccati passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Molnar!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Molnar gets back to half guard. Peccati looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Peccati keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Peccati is trying to control the action in half guard but Molnar is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Peccati. Molnar sneaks back into half guard. Peccati is controlling the pace.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peccati takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Molnar wants to hold on but Peccati pushes him away. Molnar reaches up to try and control the position but Peccati seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Molnar rolls and tries to escape and now Peccati has his back!
Peccati has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Molnar's body.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Will Peccati go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peccati is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Molnar defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Peccati biding his time, controlling Molnar. Peccati has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Will Peccati go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Molnar trying to get back to his feet but Peccati is in full control for now. Molnar fending off the submission attempt from Peccati. Molnar manages to reverse the position and now he's in Peccati's guard. Nice work there by Molnar.
Peccati is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peccati is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Molnar is aware though and is defending well. Marco Peccati has got the better of the ground game so far. Molnar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Peccati is keeping the position for now. Molnar has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Peccati looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peccati has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Molnar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Peccati escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Molnar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Marco Peccati showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Molnar throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Molnar is trying to maintain the position but Peccati is very close to passing his half guard. We've been informed that Peccati has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Peccati is trying hard to land a takedown here. Molnar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Peccati has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Molnar finds it's way round the side to connect with Peccati's head. Molnar tries a low kick but Peccati avoids it. Peccati wants to counter the offense by Molnar and move into the clinch position. Peccati shoots in and drives through. Molnar sprawls well. Molnar throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Peccati crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Molnar - the referee stops the clock and Peccati gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Molnar. Peccati manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Marco Peccati is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Molnar fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Molnar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Molnar goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Molnar wants to clinch up but Peccati keeps it at a distance. A punch combination from Molnar misses. Molnar throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Peccati closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Molnar bucks up and tries to throw Peccati off but instead Peccati has got his back! Peccati controlling from the back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Molnar can't escape the position.
Molnar is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Peccati.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Molnar trying to get back to his feet but Peccati is in full control for now.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Steve Molnar. I think Peccati has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
