Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luka Son!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Porter!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Porter throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Porter throws a nice inside leg kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Porter darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Porter throws the left hand but Son avoids the punch easily.
Son throws a jab but it's blocked by Porter.
Porter jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Son misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Porter.
Porter waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Son.
Son definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Son steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Porter.
Son seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Porter misses with a looping right.
Porter swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Porter throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chris Porter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Son takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looks like Chris Porter has been cut.
Son fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Porter has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Son missing with a left hand there. Porter was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Son throws an off balance right hand
and Porter counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
A telegraphed right hand from Porter misses the target.
Porter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Son manages to avoid it.
Son fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Porter lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Son rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Porter counters with a nice uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Porter throws a jab when Son was well out of range.
The crowd cheers as Porter lands an impressive looking overhand right. Son doesn't seem phased though.
Son looks to score with a jab to the body but Porter is just out of range.
Porter looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Porter swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Son counters with a straight right hand.
Porter thows a leg kick but Son checks it
and Son counters with a nice body shot.
Son throws a jab when Porter was well out of range.
Porter throws a big shot that misses.
Son was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Porter misses the jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Son bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Porter looks to land a right hand but Son moved out of range.
Son tries to counter by clinching up but Porter breaks away and moves out of range.
Porter rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Son counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Son fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Porter on the side of the head.

Porter is rocked!
Son swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Son cracks Porter with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Porter is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Porter is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!
Porter is still on wobbly legs! Can Son finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Son cracks Porter with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Luka Son!
