Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Sonen (ranked 4315 p4p, 4319 weight class) and Aliev Zirovanagadov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zirovanagadov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dance of The Sugar Plum Fairy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sonen is looking to slow Zirovanagadov down with leg kicks.

and Zirovanagadov counters with a shoot takedown. Sonen fights it but they end up in guard.
Sonen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Zirovanagadov controls the pace.
Let's hope that Zirovanagadov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sonen can't keep his opponent in guard - Zirovanagadov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Zirovanagadov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sonen on his heels. He'll look to pass Sonen 's guard now, I'm sure.

It looks like Zirovanagadov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
