Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Claudio Mancino (ranked 5126 p4p, 2936 weight class) and Chuck Noland (ranked 0 p4p, 265 weight class). Noland is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Survivor. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Claudio Mancino! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chuck Noland! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mancino closes the distance and clinches. Noland crunches a lovely knee into Mancino's ribcage. Noland tries to work over Mancino's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Noland pulls guard successfully.
Mancino looking to pass the guard. Mancino wants to control from the top but Noland keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mancino drops back looking for a leg! Noland is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Noland manages to kick Mancino off! Mancino jumps back into Noland's guard. Mancino stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Noland swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mancino slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Noland pushes Mancino away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mancino gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Mancino wants to control but Noland is keeping him busy. Mancino tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Noland really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mancino. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mancino tries to move into full mount but can't pass Noland's legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mancino wants to lay and pray for a moment but Noland keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mancino working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Mancino looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Mancino is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Noland knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Mancino trying to control the position but Noland is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mancino is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Noland has escaped the position, nice work there. Mancino tries to advance to mount but can't. Mancino looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mancino tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mancino has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Noland tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Mancino looking to secure an arm triangle but Noland defends it well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mancino looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Claudio Mancino dominated that round. That's time! Mancino's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Noland tries a head kick but it misses.

Noland is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Mancino tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Noland smiles and moves away.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Claudio Mancino. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Noland goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Noland is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Mancino is defending well for now. Noland pushes Mancino back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Noland missing with knees to the body.

Mancino tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Noland just stands there and leans against the cage. Mancino is trying to pull guard but Noland turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Mancino has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Noland uses from the top position. Noland would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Mancino is trying to keep Noland in close.

Noland is fighting to break Mancino's control of his arms but Mancino is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Mancino has his foot on Noland's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Noland works his way back into a safe position though. Noland tries to stand but Mancino is controlling from the bottom. Noland got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mancino has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Noland has managed to get both his arms back between Mancino's legs - danger averted.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mancino bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Noland's guard. Mancino looking to sit in guard and control but Noland gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Mancino might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mancino managing to control the position. Noland preventing the sweep. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Claudio Mancino dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Noland closes the distance and pushes Mancino back into the cage. Mancino letting Noland take a breather here. The referee is keeping an eye on Noland - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Noland walks away with a smile on his face. Mancino gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Claudio Mancino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Noland tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mancino is able to avoid easily.

He has Mancino in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Chuck Noland has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Noland is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Noland manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mancino is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Mancino has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Mancino wants to control from the top but Noland keeps moving. Mancino postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Noland is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mancino, into his guard. Mancino is adopting a defensive guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Chuck Noland comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Mancino has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
