Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jules Ann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dale Mackey!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ann misses with an uppercut.
And Mackey tries to counter it with a takedown but Ann pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Mackey on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Ann cracks a nice hook into Mackey's ribs.
Ann tests Mackey's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Dale Mackey has been cut.
Ann misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mackey is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Ann lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ann.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mackey chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ann can pounce on him.
Ann misses with a few strikes there.
Mackey gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ann buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ann feints a jab promting Mackey to slip. Ann then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Mackey slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Mackey is rocked!
Mackey on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ann. Ann obviously looking to wear him down.
Mackey is still on wobbly legs! Can Ann finish him?
Ann drops Mackey with a straight right hand, right on the button! Ann follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jules Ann!
A less than humble Jules Ann misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
