And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Donivan Hall!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bornstein fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Horrible takedown by Hall or perhaps it was just good defense by Bornstein which made him look bad.
A decent looking cross lands there for Bornstein.
Bornstein rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hall moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bornstein fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nice takedown defense from Bornstein. No joy for Hall on that attempt.

Hall throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bornstein escapes and throws Hall's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Bornstein lands a decent elbow from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bornstein is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hall's shoulder. That is not cool.
Hall tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bornstein wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Hall is trying to escape the position but Bornstein is controlling the position.
Bornstein wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hall keeps working.
Bornstein is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hall is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Daley Bornstein just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Bornstein shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
