Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ivar Ragnarrson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leef Ung!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Ragnarrson as Ung shoots in.
Ivar Ragnarrson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ung fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ragnarrson is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Ung.
Ragnarrson scores with a jab to the body.
Ragnarrson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Leef Ung has been cut.

Ragnarrson moves into the clinch.

Ung successfully pulls guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ung can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ung trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Ragnarrson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ung is keeping the position for now.

Ragnarrson trying to control the position from guard on top but Ung is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ragnarrson stands and throws Ung's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Ragnarrson is looking to take a break and control but Ung is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ung struggling a bit here.
Ragnarrson tries to move to mount but Ung blocks the move with his legs.
Ung is looking to regain half guard here but Ragnarrson keeps moving and retains side control.
Ragnarrson trying to control the action but Ung is working from the bottom.
Ragnarrson tries to score with some ground and pound. Ung controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Ragnarrson tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ragnarrson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ung's shoulder. That is not cool.

Ragnarrson decides to stand back up.
Ragnarrson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ung.
Ragnarrson tests Ung's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ragnarrson cracks Ung with a good jab.
Ragnarrson wants to clinch up but Ung keeps it at a distance.
Ragnarrson misses with a combination

and Ung counters with a shoot takedown. Ragnarrson fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ragnarrson looking for a guillotine here but Ung defends easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ragnarrson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Ung avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ragnarrson wants to sweep but no luck.
We've been informed that Ung has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Ung postures up and lands a big shot to Ragnarrson's brow.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ung's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Ragnarrson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ung is fighting to break Ragnarrson's control of his arms but Ragnarrson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Ung works over Ragnarrson with some ground and pound from guard.
Ung preventing the sweep.

Ragnarrson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ung can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ung wants to control from the top but Ragnarrson keeps moving.
Ragnarrson has Ung pulled in close to control his posture.

Ragnarrson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ung gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ung scoring with punches to the head and body.

Ung avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ung's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ivar Ragnarrson dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Leef Ung's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ragnarrson misses with a lunging right hand

and Ung counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ung trying to control the position from guard on top but Ragnarrson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ung trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Ung really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ragnarrson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ung is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Leef Ung has got the better of the ground game so far.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ragnarrson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Ung doesn't defend quickly enough and Ragnarrson has managed to lock this one up! Can Ung escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Ragnarrson on a fantastic submission victory.
