Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Durall (ranked 2809 p4p, 1757 weight class) and Chaiyo Sukbunsung (ranked 360 p4p, 240 weight class). Ronald Durall has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chaiyo Sukbunsung!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sukbunsung throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Durall ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Durall looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Durall on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Sukbunsung avoids the body shot from Durall.
Durall moves away from the strike by Sukbunsung.
Sukbunsung slips a jab from Durall.
Sukbunsung uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Durall.
Sukbunsung throws out a powerful jab.

It looks like Ronald Durall has been cut.
Sukbunsung takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Sukbunsung swings for the body but Durall moves out of range.
Durall drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Durall lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sukbunsung's sensitive parts.

Sukbunsung fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Durall looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Sukbunsung throws a body shot but no joy.
Durall bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Durall moves out of range as Sukbunsung strikes.
Durall throws a lazy right hand but Sukbunsung sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sukbunsung blocks a jab.
Sukbunsung works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The fighters circling - Durall throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Durall misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sukbunsung.
Sukbunsung fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Durall throws a hook but Sukbunsung avoids it easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Sukbunsung! But no joy.
Sukbunsung uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Durall.
It seemed like Sukbunsung was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Durall needs to keep his hands up - Sukbunsung had a free shot at his head there.
Sukbunsung throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Durall rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Durall takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Durall scores with the left hand. Sukbunsung knows he should have avoided that one.

Sukbunsung is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Durall had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Sukbunsung throws the left hand but Durall avoids the punch easily.
Sukbunsung cracks Durall with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Sukbunsung lands with an uppercut that bounces Durall off the cage and back into range.

Durall is rocked!
Sukbunsung uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Durall.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Sukbunsung! But no joy.
Durall takes one to the side of the head.
Oh Durall is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ronald Durall's cut is getting worse.
Sukbunsung throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Durall sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Durall has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sukbunsung finds it's way round the side to connect with Durall's head.
Sukbunsung moves away from the strike by Durall.
Sukbunsung swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Sukbunsung staying out of range there.
Durall seems to have got his legs back now.

A nice side step and Sukbunsung releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Sukbunsung lands a nice shot to the body.
Durall rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Sukbunsung counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sukbunsung takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Sukbunsung scores with a jab to the jaw.
Durall keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Sukbunsung feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Durall sprawling to the canvas! Durall rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Sukbunsung finish him?!
Sukbunsung throws a lazy right hand but Durall sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Durall moves away from the strike by Sukbunsung.
Sukbunsung lands with a straight right. Durall didn't see that one coming.
Sukbunsung gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Sukbunsung misses the jab.
Sukbunsung looks to land a left hand but Durall moved out of range nicely.
Sukbunsung catches Durall with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Ronald Durall's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Durall takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Chaiyo Sukbunsung seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sukbunsung swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Durall throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Durall looks to land a right hand but Sukbunsung moved out of range.
Durall uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sukbunsung.

Sukbunsung looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Sukbunsung connects with a looping right hand.
Sukbunsung has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sukbunsung drops Durall with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Durall looks back up at him and smiles so Sukbunsung waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Durall feints a jab promting Sukbunsung to slip. Durall then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Sukbunsung slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Durall leaves his chin hanging out and Sukbunsung seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Durall crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chaiyo Sukbunsung!
Our winner, Chaiyo Sukbunsung, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
