Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boris Schwartz (ranked 4721 p4p, 6184 weight class) and Joe Diddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diddy shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Diddy showed some decent athleticism there.

Schwartz kicks Diddy off and gets back to his feet.
Diddy tries for a takedown but Schwartz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Schwartz appears to be looking for a big counter.
Diddy has his takedown stuffed

and Schwartz counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Diddy is fighting off a takedown attempt but Schwartz is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Diddy to the mat. Diddy regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Diddy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Schwartz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Schwartz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Schwartz stays in close to Diddy's body and controls the position.

Diddy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Diddy wants to pass to mount but Schwartz is defending the position.

Schwartz throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Schwartz pushes Diddy off looking to stand but Diddy dives back in and keeps control.

Schwartz is trying to get back to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Diddy is keen to just control but Schwartz is a slippery customer.
Schwartz is trying to maintain the position but Diddy is very close to passing his half guard.
Diddy wants to pass the guard but Schwartz is defending well.

Diddy maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Schwartz could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Diddy has cracked it and Schwartz is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Diddy!
