Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gakus Amiga (ranked 24736 p4p, 24490 weight class) and Richard John Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Amiga shoots in and drives through. Salvacion sprawls well.

Amiga has Salvacion up against the cage in a clinch.

Amiga gets control of Salvacion's arms and successfully pulls guard. Amiga will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Amiga seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Amiga ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Salvacion moves away.
And Salvacion responds with a good body kick, but Amiga manages to step out the way in time.
Salvacion defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Amiga.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Amiga shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Salvacion replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Amiga blocks it well.

Salvacion fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Amiga sprawls well initially but Salvacion persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Amiga tries to get to full guard but Salvacion has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Amiga throws a wild body kick that Salvacion sees coming a mile off.
Salvacion steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Horrible takedown attempt by Salvacion or perhaps it was just good defense by Amiga, which made it look bad.
Salvacion shoots in for a double leg but Amiga sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Amiga fires out a quick counter leg kick but Salvacion just manages to avoid it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Salvacion doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Amiga counters with an inside leg kick.
Gakus Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard John Salvacion.

Salvacion closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Amiga turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Amiga manages to end up in side control.

Amiga seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Salvacion for as long as he can get away with.
