Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Duy Vo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Graham Woo!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woo throws a head kick that misses.
Woo shoots for a double leg takedown but Vo sprawls well. He's pushed Woo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Woo throws a right hand that Vo ducks under and follows up with a left that Vo also avoids with ease.
No joy there for Woo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Woo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vo swivels and escapes.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vo is defended easily by Woo.
Woo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Vo counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Woo!
Duy Vo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Graham Woo.
Vo working for a submission but Woo is keeping him at bay.
Woo looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Vo has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Woo! Can he survive? No! He's out! Vo gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
