And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lavender Gooms!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker swings for the body but Gooms moves out of range.
Walker misses with a series of wild punches.
Walker throws a series of punches but Gooms avoids them all with ease.
Walker throws a shot from downtown. Gooms moves away and avoids it.
Walker works the jab nicely.
A jab from Walker misses.
Walker wants to clinch.
Walker takes one to the chin there.


It looks like Stevie Walker has been cut.
Gooms throws a right and a left that both miss.
Walker thows a left - swing and a miss!
Walker connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Walker misses with a two punch combination.
Gooms fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gooms throws a series of strikes that have Walker backpedaling.
Gooms fails to land with a series of punches.

Gooms gets the takedown into side control.

Walker wants to get back to his feet but Gooms drags him back down.

Gooms tries for a kimura but Walker is defending well.
Walker gets back to half guard.

Gooms is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Walker has managed to free his arm - good work.
Gooms tries to pass the half guard into mount. Walker knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Walker is looking to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Gooms is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Walker has managed to free his arm - good work.
Walker wants to get back to his feet.
Gooms tries to pass the half guard into mount. Walker knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Gooms thows a huge punch but Walker dodges it nicely.
Gooms seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Walker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Gooms needs to keep his hands up - Walker had a free shot at his head there.
Stevie Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gooms tries to bum rush Walker with a series of wild strikes but Walker uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Walker, right into the meat.
Gooms looks gassed!
Nice combo by Walker! Oh, that's hurt him - Gooms falls to the canvas and Walker follows him into side control.


Gooms is rocked!


It looks like Lavender Gooms has been cut.
Walker is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Gooms's shoulder. That is not cool.
Gooms is still in real trouble! Can Walker finish him?
Gooms tries to control but Walker manages to take his back.
I would not like to be Gooms right now.
Gooms seems to have recovered his senses.
Gooms tries to break free.
Gooms is keeping busy.
Gooms is in bad spot here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Walker trying to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walker gets his hands free as Gooms looks to control.
Walker tries to keep control of the position but Gooms is staying busy.
Walker controlling well, preventing Gooms from escaping the position.
Gooms is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stevie Walker dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Walker throws out a powerful jab.
Gooms moves out of range of the strikes.
Walker slaps away a takedown attempt from Gooms, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Walker takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Walker lands a hook that stumbles Gooms back into the cage. Walker follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Gooms to the canvas! Walker pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Gooms has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Stevie Walker!
