Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gabe Oliviera (ranked 5250 p4p, 4234 weight class) and Andrew Lewis (ranked 373 p4p, 337 weight class). Andrew Lewis told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gabe Oliviera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis throws a series of punches but Oliviera moves out of range.
Lewis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Oliviera swivels and escapes.
Gabe Oliviera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oliviera scores with a push kick.
Sloppy strikes from Lewis. Those never looked like landing.
Oliviera shoots in looking for a takedown. Lewis tries to sprawl out of it but Oliviera keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lewis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lewis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Lewis can't control as he wanted to and Oliviera manages to get the fight back to his half guard.

Lewis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Oliviera does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

We've been informed that Lewis has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Lewis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Oliviera walks away with a smile on his face. Lewis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
