Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aaron King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Jack Fransisco!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fransisco misses with a body shot.
King works over Fransisco's head and body with a nice combination.
Fransisco misses with an uppercut
and King counters with a lovely shot to the body.
King throws a sloppy head kick and Fransisco moves out of range easily.

Fransisco moves into the clinch.
Fransisco gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from King.

Fransisco has King pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Fransisco pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending King tumbling to the mat - Fransisco dives into King's guard.
King looking to control.

Fransisco controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

King keeping full guard, as Fransisco tries to pass.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fransisco is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
King not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
King tries to clinch up.
King lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fransisco at a distance.

King tries to keep at a distance but Fransisco has taken the fight into the clinch.
Fransisco misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from King.

Fransisco displaying some good clinch control by pressing King up against the cage.

Fransisco lands a takedown into guard.
King is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fransisco is controlling him.

Fransisco drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but King manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fransisco has King in his guard.

Fransisco is adopting a defensive guard.

Fransisco has a closed guard, preventing King from standing up.
Fransisco pulls King in close to prevent any damage.
Fransisco told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
King trying to control but Fransisco is working from the bottom.
King throws a big right hand that misses.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fransisco pulls King in close to prevent any damage.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as King accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Fransisco moves into the clinch.

Fransisco pulls guard.
Fransisco looking to hit a scissor sweep but King is one step ahead there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
King wants to stand and escape but instead Fransisco has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Fransisco closes the distance and pushes King back into the cage.

Fransisco lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Fransisco keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
King trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
King tries to hold on but Fransisco postures up.
Fransisco lands a big shot there that rocks King but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fransisco controlling the pace for now.
Fransisco looking to finish King with some ground and pound. This is bad for King!

Fransisco with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

King tries to hold on but Fransisco postures up.
Fransisco controlling his opponent.
King wants to hold on but Fransisco pushes him away.

Fransisco working for a submission but King is keeping him at bay.
Fransisco lands with some strikes.

Jack Fransisco has got the better of the ground game so far.

Fransisco is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! King is forced to tap! Great finish!
