Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yawa Kiang (ranked 24753 p4p, 24660 weight class) and Way Nada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yawa Kiang has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Nada shoots in and gets a takedown into Kiang's guard. Kiang has Nada pulled in close to control his posture. Kiang looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Nada trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Nada controlling from the top position. Nada's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kiang holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Horrible takedown attempt by Nada or perhaps it was just good defense by Kiang, which made it look bad. Kiang throws a quick counter head kick but Nada was just out of range. Nada fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kiang is looking to counter with head kicks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kiang shoots in for a takedown but Nada shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nada is trying to counter with his kicks. Nada shoots for a takedown but Kiang saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Yawa Kiang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Way Nada. Nada shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Nada was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! You can see the frustration on Kiang's face as Nada controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Nada misses with the ground and pound. Nada scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kiang to see if he's OK. Kiang can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kiang shoots in but no luck this time. Nada shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kiang manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Way Nada dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Nada dives in for a single leg takedown but Kiang sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Kiang is looking to counter with a body kick. Kiang looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Nada! Nada regains half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Kiang trying to control the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nada has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Nada wants to improve his position but Kiang is controlling well.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nada won't allow Kiang to pass to mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The fighters are battling for position here. Nada manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Kiang not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Kiang shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nada is trying to defend but Kiang finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Kiang slows the pace down in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nada is looking to control Kiang's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nada avoid being mounted?
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Nada tries to roll over but Kiang keeps him under control.

And that's the end of the fight! Yawa Kiang showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kiang has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
