PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jumpin Jahosafat (ranked 24938 p4p, 25455 weight class) and Carlos Zapata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Carlos Zapata was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jahosafat shoots in and bounces Zapata off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Jahosafat cracks Zapata with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Jahosafat has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Zapata to stand back up!

Zapata is rocked!

Jahosafat throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Zapata was covering up waiting for the punch and Jahosafat finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Zapata is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jahosafat to keep the fight standing.

Jahosafat closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Jahosafat is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Jahosafat manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Zapata throws the left hand but Jahosafat avoids the punch easily.

Jahosafat bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zapata's guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jahosafat's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Jahosafat's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jahosafat has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Jahosafat is pushing down on Zapata's leg trying to pass to half guard. Zapata is fighting to maintain full guard but Jahosafat has managed to sneak the leg through.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jahosafat in particular looking to stall.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jahosafat knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zapata on the ground.
Jahosafat working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Jahosafat quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Zapata has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Jahosafat celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
