Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ankle Breaker (ranked 962 p4p, 1304 weight class) and Michel Santos (ranked 86 p4p, 117 weight class). Santos has chosen DMX - Intro as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ankle Breaker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michel Santos!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos checks the leg kick.
Breaker closes the distance and clinches up with Santos, looking for a takedown. Breaker pushes Santos against the cage but Santos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Santos blocks a head kick by Breaker.
Ankle Breaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santos uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Breaker has time to react.

Santos closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Breaker tries to buck Santos off but Santos is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Breaker manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Santos is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Breaker sees it coming and defends easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Breaker is not content to let Santos control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Breaker is looking for a triangle but Santos pushes his legs off easily.

Breaker prevents Santos from moving into mount.

Michel Santos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Santos tests Breaker's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Santos throws the left hand but Breaker avoids the punch easily.
Santos cracks Breaker with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Ankle Breaker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Santos counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Breaker looking to sit in guard and control but Santos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Santos stays in close to Breaker's body and controls the position.

Santos's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Breaker throws his legs up looking for a submission but Santos uses it to pass to side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Breaker throws a few strikes from the bottom but Santos takes advantage and mounts!
Breaker is desperately trying to improve his position but Santos has a good base and remains in mount.

Santos might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Breaker haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well Santos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
