Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wiremu West (ranked 2070 p4p, 3243 weight class) and Claudio Mancino (ranked 188 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wiremu West!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Claudio Mancino!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mancino tries to close the distance and clinch but West swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and West counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
West is working for a submission of some sort.
West is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Mancino still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Mancino has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

West can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mancino is looking to escape.
West looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

West has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Mancino has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
West is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Mancino won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips West off his unconscious opponent!
