Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wiremu West (ranked 2070 p4p, 3243 weight class) and Claudio Mancino (ranked 188 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wiremu West! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Claudio Mancino! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mancino tries to close the distance and clinch but West swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mancino tries to clinch up. Mancino tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mancino tries to clinch and West counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. West is working for a submission of some sort.
West is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Mancino still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Mancino has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! West tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mancino trying to control the action but West is working from the bottom. West is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Mancino's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Mancino is trying to control. West wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The fighters are battling for position here. West manages to regain full guard. Nice work. West seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Mancino stopping the sweep attempt from West. Mancino really doesn't want to stay on the ground with West. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mancino wants to stand and escape but instead West has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. West tries to free his leg and advance position but Mancino is retaining full guard. West's corner is telling him to maintain position. Mancino is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. West is aware though and is defending well. West stands and throws Mancino's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. West tries for a kimura but Mancino is defending well. West wants to control for a moment but Mancino uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. West wants to pass the guard but Mancino is defending well. West moves nicely into side control. West just content to control the position. West advances nicely into full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. West seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Mancino is holding on tight.
Mancino tries to hold on but West pushes him away. West wants to take Mancino's back but he can't do it this time. West can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mancino is looking to escape. West looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Mancino tries to hold on but West pushes him away. Mancino has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mancino defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Mancino is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wiremu West dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. West avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Claudio Mancino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. West tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mancino was well out of range. Poor timing from West. Mancino moves out of range as West strikes. West closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mancino did well to prevent West getting side control. West is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mancino sees it coming and defends easily. West is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! West pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Mancino has given up his back here. Will West look for the submission or keep pounding away?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mancino defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of West's arms. What can Mancino do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
That's one minute gone in the round. West has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Mancino has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
West is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Mancino won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips West off his unconscious opponent!
