The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lodge jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Russian pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lodge tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Russian counters with a two punch combo.
Lodge throws a lazy uppercut
and Russian counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Jon Lodge has been cut.
Jon Lodge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lodge misses with a takedown
and Russian counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

and Russian counters with a stiff right hand.
Lodge closes the distance but Russian moves to the side

Lodge moves in looking to clinch but Russian pushes him off.
Lodge scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Little Russian has been cut.

Lodge dives in and scores a takedown into Russian's guard.
Lodge gets to his feet. Russian looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Lodge throws a sloppy head kick and Russian moves out of range easily.

and Russian counters with a left and a right that stings Lodge.
Lodge shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Russian scores with a counter punch that sends Lodge to the canvas! Russian smells blood - he's punishing Lodge with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Lodge has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Little Russian!
