The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Earl blocks a head kick by Hallinan.
Earl swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Earl pushes Hallinan up against the cage in a clinch.
Hallinan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Earl is trying to break the clinch but Hallinan is controlling him.
Hallinan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Earl smiles and moves away.
Earl is looking to land body kicks.

Earl gets a clinch.
Hallinan tries to circle away but Earl has him pinned against the cage.
Earl can't break the clinch.

Earl misses with a knee to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Earl stops a takedown attempt from Hallinan.
Hallinan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Earl just stands there and leans against the cage.
