Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charlie Potter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Harris!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter jabs Harris right on the nose. Harris blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Joe Harris has been cut.
Harris ducks under a wild hook from Potter.
Potter misses with a looping left.
Harris with a lazy takedown attempt
and Potter counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Harris gets a clinch.
Harris tries for a takedown but Potter manages to get underhooks.

Harris escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Potter definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Potter throws a hook but Harris blocks it.
Potter misses the jab.

Harris closes the distance and clinches.

Harris pulls guard.
Potter wants to stand but Harris is controlling his posture from full guard.
Harris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Potter trying to stand up but can't free himself from Harris's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Harris manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Harris is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Potter to keep the fight standing.
Charlie Potter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Harris.
Harris prevents Potter from breaking the clinch.
Come on Harris - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Harris is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Potter is defending well for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Potter working hard to break the clinch.
Potter is trying to force a seperation but Harris has the dominant position.
Harris drops down looking for an ankle pick but Potter pulls his leg out and moves away.

Potter cracks Harris with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Harris looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Potter finish him?
Harris looks winded!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Potter knocks out Harris with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Potter before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Potter picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Charlie Potter!
