Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darcy Nixon (ranked 3799 p4p, 2986 weight class) and Sikke Vonnegut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nixon is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Darcy Nixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sikke Vonnegut!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vonnegut with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Nixon is breathing heavily.
A slow jab from Nixon misses its intended target.
Vonnegut lands with a hook. Nixon tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Nixon throws a jab but it's blocked by Vonnegut.
Vonnegut connects with a nice looking jab.
Nixon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vonnegut was well out of range. Poor timing from Nixon.
Vonnegut cracks Nixon with a right hand to the side of the head.
Vonnegut scores with a jab. Nixon acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Vonnegut jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Nixon is rocked!
Vonnegut ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Oh Nixon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Decent striking displayed by Vonnegut there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nixon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vonnegut.
Vonnegut connects with a right hand. Nixon shakes it off.
Nixon walks straight into a right hand from Vonnegut - that's dropped him! Vonnegut jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Nixon from any more punishment! Nixon complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sikke Vonnegut!
