Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Barbosa (ranked 851 p4p, 501 weight class) and Leandro Narloch (ranked 45 p4p, 31 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucas Barbosa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leandro Narloch! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big right from Barbosa misses. Narloch lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. A punch combination from Barbosa misses. A combination from Narloch does no damage. Barbosa lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Narloch misses with a left hand and Barbosa counters with a shoot takedown. Narloch fights it but they end up in guard. Barbosa advances position into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Narloch is looking for a sweep. Barbosa working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Narloch is trying to control Barbosa's posture but Barbosa avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barbosa trying to control the action but Narloch is working from the bottom. Narloch is looking to reverse the position. Narloch is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Barbosa is controlling him well. Barbosa moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Barbosa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Narloch keeps working. Narloch is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Narloch is trying to buck Barbosa off. Barbosa controls the position. I wouldn't like to be where Narloch is right now. Narloch tries to buck Barbosa off but Barbosa is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barbosa trying to control the action but Narloch is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A slow jab from Barbosa misses its intended target. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Narloch! But no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barbosa connects with a looping right hand.

Nice straight punches there by Barbosa. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Barbosa. A swing and a miss from Barbosa. A little jabbing left from Narloch on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Barbosa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Narloch. Barbosa feinted with a counter takedown. Barbosa throws a lazy uppercut
and Narloch counters with a nice uppercut. Narloch throws a shot from downtown. Barbosa moves away and avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barbosa drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Narloch wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Barbosa thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Narloch is looking to reverse the position. Barbosa is trying to get an arm triangle but Narloch is defending well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Narloch is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Barbosa is controlling him well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Lucas Barbosa dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Narloch ducks under a wild hook from Barbosa. Narloch is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Barbosa tries to bum rush Narloch with a series of wild strikes but Narloch uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Barbosa fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Narloch takes one on the chin but seems OK.

It looks like Lucas Barbosa has been cut. Barbosa takes a swing at Narloch's ribcage but misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barbosa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Barbosa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Barbosa thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Narloch tries to buck Barbosa off but Barbosa is having none of it.

We've been hearing good reports from Barbosa's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Barbosa is trying to get an arm triangle but Narloch is defending well. Barbosa looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Barbosa is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Narloch knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. You can see the frustration on Narloch's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Narloch is not content to let Barbosa control the position. Narloch is trying to improve his position.

Narloch swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Barbosa moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Barbosa fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Narloch is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Barbosa drops down looking for a counter takedown but Narloch sprawls and moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barbosa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Narloch looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Barbosa is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Narloch is trying to escape and Barbosa transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Narloch is forced to tap! Nice work there by Barbosa! Very nice indeed!
