Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Caleb DeCoteau!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Larry Lungfish!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lungfish misses with a lunging right hand

so DeCoteau counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Lungfish wants to get back to his feet but DeCoteau is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
DeCoteau stays in close to Lungfish's body and controls the position.
DeCoteau is working Lungfish over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
DeCoteau stops Lungfish from standing up.
Lungfish wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and DeCoteau manages to pass to side control.

Lungfish tries to kick DeCoteau off but DeCoteau keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Lungfish looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
DeCoteau works his way into side control.

DeCoteau is working to tighten his grip on Lungfish's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Lungfish has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but DeCoteau is really squeezing tight and eventually Lungfish passes out! DeCoteau breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
