The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nine throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sushi's waist but Sushi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nine off to one side.
Nine avoids the head kick by Sushi.
Sushi tries to close the distance and clinch but Nine swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Sushi moves into the clinch.
Sushi gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Resial Nine has been cut.
Sushi unloads a knee to the mid-section. Nine lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Sushi stalling in the clinch.
Sushi seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Nine takes an elbow to the temple.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sushi scores a nice knee to the body.
Nine looks gassed!
Sushi tries to land a knee to the head but Nine blocks with his arms.
Sushi throws an elbow that misses.
Sushi lands a left hand that snaps the head of Nine backwards.
Nine should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Sushi lands a knee to the body.
Sushi lands an elbow inside.

That has opened up Resial Nine's cut even more.
The referee calls for Sushi to work.
Sushi lands an elbow that stopped Nine in his tracks for a moment.
Sushi is pressed up against the cage. Nine has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sushi down to the mat. Sushi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A slapping body kick lands there for Sushi.
Sushi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sushi has closed the distance and engaged Nine in a clinch.
Knees to the body from Sushi.
Sushi lands an elbow that stopped Nine in his tracks for a moment.

The cut above Resial Nine's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Sushi with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Resial Nine's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Resial Nine's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
