The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDavid misses with a two punch combination.
Taylor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McDavid's waist but McDavid gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Taylor off to one side.

McDavid swings for the body but Taylor moves out of range.
Taylor half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Taylor tries to clinch there but McDavid circles away.
Charlie McDavid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Taylor uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McDavid.
Taylor misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Taylor takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McDavid swats away the attempt to clinch by Taylor.
McDavid misses with an uppercut.
Taylor uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McDavid.

McDavid throws a jab when Taylor was well out of range.
Taylor slips a straight right by McDavid.
McDavid misses with an uppercut. Taylor saw that one coming.
Taylor tries to counter with a takedown but McDavid is quick to defend against it.
Taylor fails in his attempt to clinch.
Taylor tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McDavid manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Taylor throws a head kick but McDavid moves out of range.

McDavid lands a big uppercut and Taylor crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Taylor looks OK. McDavid waves Taylor back to his feet!

Taylor is rocked!

It looks like Hayden Taylor has been cut.
McDavid knocks out Taylor with a massive right hand! The ref tackles McDavid before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. McDavid picks up the big W with a huge KO!
