Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Esko Morko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nuppu Lupaus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morko comes to the cage accompanied by The Sound Of Thunder. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Esko Morko!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Nuppu Lupaus!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morko doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Lupaus throws a looping overhand right but Morko ducks down to avoid it.
Lupaus throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lupaus swings for the body but Morko moves out of range.
Lupaus misses with a body shot.
Morko tries to clinch there but Lupaus circles away.
Lupaus shoots for a double leg takedown but Morko sprawls well. He's pushed Lupaus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lupaus avoids the head kick by Morko.
Morko takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Lupaus feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lupaus's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Morko looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lupaus is one step ahead there.

Lupaus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morko swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Morko is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Lupaus looking for submissions off his back.
Lupaus is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Well, if Morko is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lupaus slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Morko controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Lupaus wants to sweep here but Morko controlling him for the moment.
Lupaus striking off his back but it's not causing Morko any problems.
Morko would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lupaus doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Lupaus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Morko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Morko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Lupaus swings for the body but Morko moves out of range.
Morko moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Morko tries to close the distance and clinch but Lupaus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Morko avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lupaus chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Morko can pounce on him.
Lupaus tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Morko lands a brutal head kick. Lupaus looks out on his feet and Morko throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
