PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bomichi Fertitta (ranked 4301 p4p, 4324 weight class) and Jamaal Everglades (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fertitta comes to the cage accompanied by Wretched Destroyer. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Everglades misses with a hook. Fertitta ducked under it nicely.
Fertitta waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Everglades.

Fertitta forces Everglades back against the cage and clinches.
Everglades misses with a punch on the inside.
A head punch on the inside from Everglades fails to land.
Fertitta throws an elbow that misses.
Fertitta tries to throw a body punch but Everglades avoids it by throwing Fertitta back against the cage.
Everglades taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Everglades is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Fertitta lands a nice knee to the body.

Everglades looks winded!

Fertitta gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Everglades is trying to escape back to his feet but Fertitta uses the scramble to pass into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Fertitta could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fertitta connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Everglades some visible discomfort.
Everglades bucks up and tries to throw Fertitta off but instead Fertitta has got his back!
Everglades really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fertitta. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Everglades is covering up but some of the strikes from Fertitta are getting through and doing damage.
