Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willow Crow (ranked 4126 p4p, 25426 weight class) and Kieran Newton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Willow Crow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Kieran Newton!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, John Mangel and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newton misses with a takedown attempt
so Crow counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Newton is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Crow keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Newton's head.

Crow thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Crow drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Crow jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crow throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Newton works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Newton tries to kick Crow off but Crow keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Newton is looking for a sweep. Crow is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Newton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Crow is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Crow has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
No luck for Newton with that takedown attempt.
Newton plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Crow clinches up against the cage.
Newton pushes off an throws an elbow but Crow leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Newton changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Crow fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Willow Crow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kieran Newton.
Newton shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Crow sprawls well. Crow wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Newton gets slowly back to his feet.

Crow is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Newton.
Crow looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Crow slaps away a takedown attempt from Newton, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Crow tries to counter with a takedown but Newton is quick to defend against it.
Newton shoots in but Crow avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Crow on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Newton. Newton obviously looking to wear him down.
Newton darts in looking for a takedown but Crow gets double underhooks and turns Newton into the cage.
Crow defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Newton.
Crow has managed to clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Newton shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Crow as he jumps to the side.
Crow feinted with a counter takedown.
Newton tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Crow defends well and Newton ends up having to push Crow into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Newton shoots in looking for a takedown. Crow tries to sprawl out of it but Newton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Crow manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Crow is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Newton can't fight it off and eventually Crow manages to take the fight to the floor. Newton looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Crow stands up over Newton, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Crow tries to free his leg and advance position but Newton is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Crow is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Crow is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Newton is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Newton has escaped and now he's on top!
Crow is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Newton wants to control from the top but Crow keeps moving.
