Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jean Lafitte (ranked 5731 p4p, 4228 weight class) and Solomon Striker (ranked 232 p4p, 197 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Striker's choice of entrance music: Thunder Struck. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jean Lafitte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Solomon Striker!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lafitte fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Striker on the side of the head.
Striker walks into a jab.
Striker misses with a looping left.
A big left from Lafitte misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Striker takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lafitte missing with a left hand there. Striker was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Striker is looking for the big counter here.
Lafitte tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Striker was well out of range. Poor timing from Lafitte.

Striker throws a big shot that misses.

Lafitte uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Striker.

Lafitte scores with a one two! Striker had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Striker is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lafitte.

It looks like Jean Lafitte has been cut.
Striker takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Striker looks to land a left hand but Lafitte moved out of range nicely.
Striker misses with a looping right.
Lafitte bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Lafitte looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Lafitte ducks under a wild hook from Striker.
A slow jab from Lafitte misses its intended target.

Lafitte throws a body shot but no joy.
Striker drops Lafitte with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lafitte looks back up at him and smiles so Striker waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Lafitte is rocked!
Lafitte misses with a body shot.
Oh Lafitte is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Striker is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Lafitte flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Lafitte is out cold! Striker holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Solomon Striker!
A relieved looking Solomon Striker thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
