Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Short bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Harrington circles away from the clinch attempt.
Short fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Harrington sprawls well initially but Short persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Harrington is staying active underneath Short, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Harrington wants to get back to full guard.
Short really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harrington. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Harrington is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Short jumps into side control!
Short decides to stand up, so the ref orders Harrington to his feet.
Harrington throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Short shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Harrington pinned against the cage. Harrington gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Harrington throws the left hand but Short avoids the punch easily.

Short tries to close the distance and clinch but Harrington swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Short.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

A big right from Harrington misses.
Short doesn't manage to clinch there - Harrington circles away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
An inside leg kick lands from Short.
Harrington throws the left hand but Short avoids the punch easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luke Short dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
