Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Brenda (ranked 24949 p4p, 4326 weight class) and Chu Chu Fukyu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, David Brenda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chu Chu Fukyu!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brenda drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Brenda looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Fukyu throws a leg kick
so Brenda counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fukyu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fukyu does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Brenda is standing up over Fukyu. Fukyu looks to escape but Brenda dives into side control.

Fukyu throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Brenda stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Brenda is trying to drag Fukyu to the mat but Fukyu just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Fukyu bucks up and tries to throw Brenda off but instead Brenda has got his back!

Well Brenda has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
