Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andy Liu (ranked 4172 p4p, 5247 weight class) and Jake Towns (ranked 0 p4p, 541 weight class). Andy Liu has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Liu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Towns!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liu tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Towns swivels and escapes.
Liu shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Towns as he avoids it easily.

Liu drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Towns wants to stand and escape but Liu is having none of it.
Towns controls Liu momentarily but Liu frees himself.
Liu looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Towns throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Liu escapes and throws Towns's legs to the side, diving into side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Liu trying to control the action but Towns is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Towns keeping his opponent close.
Towns tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Liu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Towns gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Towns is trying to get back to full guard.
Liu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Towns on the ground.
Towns controlling the position for now.
Towns regains full guard. Nicely done.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Liu is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Towns has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Liu is looking to defend but Towns has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Liu! Towns pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Liu taps out and this one is all over!
