Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aimo Surakka (ranked 4946 p4p, 3747 weight class) and Renato Javali (ranked 461 p4p, 397 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Renato Javali was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Surakka misses.
Javali gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Surakka connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Javali connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Javali gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Javali lands a right hook to the body.
Surakka takes a swing at Javali's ribcage but misses.
Nice defenses there by Javali.
Javali throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Surakka blocks a head kick by Javali.
Javali throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Surakka scores with a crisp jab that stopped Javali in his tracks.
Sloppy strikes from Surakka. Those never looked like landing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Javali misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Surakka walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Javali checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Javali takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Javali throws a sloppy head kick and Surakka moves out of range easily.
Javali takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Surakka looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Surakka swings for the body but Javali moves out of range.

Surakka lands a jab to the head.
Javali throws a head kick that misses
and Surakka counters with a crisp right hand that drops Javali! Surakka lets Javali back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Javali is rocked!

Surakka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A slapping leg kick lands for Javali.
Surakka connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
The fighters circling - Surakka throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Renato Javali seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Surakka fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Javali looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A looping hook to the body misses from Javali. Surakka does a little dance to reset his feet.
Javali takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Javali steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Surakka.
Surakka misses the shot to the body.
Javali lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Surakka cracks Javali with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Javali looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Surakka finish him?
Javali is still on wobbly legs! Can Surakka finish him?
Surakka lands a leg kick that knocks Javali off balance momentarily.
Surakka sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Javali's defenses. It connects perfectly with Javali's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Aimo Surakka!
