Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nico DiAngelo (ranked 1147 p4p, 1094 weight class) and Akeen Coker (ranked 168 p4p, 154 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nico DiAngelo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Akeen Coker!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DiAngelo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Coker tries to avoid it but DiAngelo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Coker to the ground. Coker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Coker lands a jab to the head.
Coker lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Coker has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Coker misses with a looping right.
DiAngelo seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Coker works the jab nicely.
DiAngelo on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Coker loads up on a big right hand but DiAngelo slips the punch.
DiAngelo was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Coker throws a hook but DiAngelo blocks it.

Coker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Coker.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Coker lands a right hand that snaps the head of DiAngelo backwards.

Coker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Coker moves into the clinch.

DiAngelo fails to land the takedown.

Coker clinches with his opponent.
Coker is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but DiAngelo is defending well.
DiAngelo prevents the takedown attempt.
DiAngelo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Coker walks away with a smile on his face. DiAngelo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Coker jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Coker bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps DiAngelo's head backwards.

A slow jab from Coker misses its intended target.
A counter left hand to the body from DiAngelo misses its target.
Coker scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Coker scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Akeen Coker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
DiAngelo takes a jab right on the kisser.
DiAngelo looks for a takedown but Coker sprawls well.
DiAngelo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Coker sprawls well. Coker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. DiAngelo gets slowly back to his feet.

Coker connects with a solid leg kick.
Akeen Coker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Coker does it's job there.
Coker scoring well with a low kick there.
Coker swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Coker throws an ugly left hook that misses
and DiAngelo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Coker thinking.

Coker manages to break the clinch.
DiAngelo closes the distance and clinches up with Coker, looking for a takedown. DiAngelo pushes Coker against the cage but Coker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Coker buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

DiAngelo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Coker closes the distance and clinches.
DiAngelo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Coker pulls him back up using the underhooks.
DiAngelo wants a takedown but no success here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Coker lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of DiAngelo backwards.

Coker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
DiAngelo walks into a stiff left hand from Coker.
Coker lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Coker misses with a hook. DiAngelo ducked under it nicely.
DiAngelo goes for a double leg but Coker avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Coker continues to drive forward.

Coker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
DiAngelo walks into a left hand.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Akeen Coker dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Coker throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck DiAngelo on the side of the head.
Coker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

DiAngelo gets tackled into the cage by Coker. Coker maintains the clinch.
Coker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Coker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Coker lands with an overhand left.
Coker tests DiAngelo's chin there with a solid looking shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
DiAngelo closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
DiAngelo tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

DiAngelo gets tackled into the cage by Coker. Coker maintains the clinch.

Coker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fighters circling - Coker throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Coker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
DiAngelo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Coker misses with a hook.
DiAngelo was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Coker lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
DiAngelo ducks under a wild hook from Coker.
DiAngelo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Coker lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Coker connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Coker scores with a nice right hand.
Akeen Coker seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Coker uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

DiAngelo is rocked!

Coker pushes DiAngelo up against the cage in a clinch.
Oh DiAngelo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Coker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
DiAngelo seems to have got his legs back now.
DiAngelo blocks a jab.
A counter left hand to the body from DiAngelo misses its target.
Coker scores with a jab. DiAngelo acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Nice uppercut there from Coker.
Coker throws an overhand right that drops DiAngelo like a sack of potatoes! Coker dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Akeen Coker!
Akeen Coker seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
