Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Sparr (ranked 393 p4p, 3428 weight class) and Billy Williams (ranked 56 p4p, 376 weight class). Sparr comes to the cage accompanied by OH NO!. Billy Williams is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roger Sparr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Billy Williams!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Williams.
Sparr throws a hook to the side of Williams's head but Williams sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Williams scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Williams tries to score with a low kick but Sparr moves his leg out of the way.
Sparr definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Williams moves forwards but Sparr connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Williams throws a hook but Sparr avoids it easily.

Oooooh!!! Williams has knocked Sparr down with a huge combo! Williams steps away and waves a wobbly Sparr back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Roger Sparr has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Williams throws a nice looking combination but Sparr bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A bone on bone clash there as Sparr blocks the leg kick.
Sparr uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Williams.
Williams pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Williams throws a body punch but Sparr moves out of range.
Williams wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Williams drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Billy Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams misses with a low kick as Sparr jumps back.

Williams throws a nice inside leg kick.
Sparr on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Williams. Williams obviously looking to wear him down.
Williams throws a hook but Sparr blocks it.
Sparr feinted with a counter takedown.
Williams misses with a low kick.
Sparr attempts a counter takedown but Williams avoids it well and moves away.
Sparr showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Williams.
Sparr scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Williams misses the jab.
Sparr wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Sparr darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sparr stalling.

Sparr looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Williams wants to get back to his feet.

Sparr is looking for a kimura but Williams is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sparr to get the leverage.
Sparr lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Williams tries to kick Sparr off but Sparr keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Sparr seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Sparr with the ground and pound but Williams uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Williams is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Sparr makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Williams keeping moving, preventing Sparr from controlling successfully.

Sparr has gone for a leg lock! Williams slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sparr's guard.

Williams trying to control but Sparr is working from the bottom.
Williams throws a big elbow that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Williams wants to stand but Sparr has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Williams throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Williams wants to stand and escape but instead Sparr has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Sparr throwing strikes but missing.
Sparr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sparr is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Sparr trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom.
Sparr keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Williams's head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Billy Williams dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Roger Sparr's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Sparr bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Williams's head.
Williams throws a lazy head kick

and Sparr counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Sparr is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Williams blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sparr.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williams can do anything to dispel that myth.
Sparr prevents Williams from standing back up.
Sparr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sparr keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Sparr passes to full mount!
Sparr looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Sparr takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Sparr looking for a guillotine from mount but Williams is having none of it.

BOOM! Sparr connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Sparr fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Williams is rocked!
Williams wants to try and get back to his feet.
Sparr can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Williams is looking to escape.
Sparr looking to control and managing it successfully.
Sparr lands with some strikes.

Sparr landing strikes from the mount.
Williams is still in real trouble! Can Sparr finish him?
Sparr postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Williams bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Sparr and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roger Sparr!
After winning the bout, Roger Sparr thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
