The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDougie is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McDougie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Magomedov as he avoids it easily.
McDougie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Magomedov is fending him off so far but McDougie persists. Nope, Magomedov circles away and we're back to standing.
McDougie is looking to clinch.
McDougie blocks a jab.
McDougie fails in his attempt to clinch.
A little feinted left hand from Magomedov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Magomedov throws a shot from downtown. McDougie moves away and avoids it.
A countering left hand to the body from McDougie misses.
A combination from Magomedov does no damage.
Magomedov misses with a double jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Magomedov lands a jab.

It looks like Kapobara McDougie has been cut.
McDougie tries to clinch but Magomedov moves out of range.
Magomedov slips a jab and a cross from McDougie.
Magomedov swats away the attempt to clinch by McDougie.

Magomedov is looking to score with low kicks.
McDougie appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
McDougie shoots in and drives through. Magomedov sprawls well.
Abubakar Magomedov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kapobara McDougie.
McDougie digs a good body shot into Magomedov's ribs.

McDougie pushes Magomedov up against the cage in a clinch.
McDougie misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Magomedov wants to break free but McDougie has control.
Magomedov is trying to push McDougie away but McDougie has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

McDougie breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and McDougie counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

McDougie walks into a stiff left hand from Magomedov.
McDougie closes the distance looking to clinch
and Magomedov makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
McDougie looks winded!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McDougie gets cracked there but stands up to it.
McDougie lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Magomedov circles away quickly and effectively.
Magomedov fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McDougie doesn't manage to clinch there - Magomedov circles away.
McDougie defending well as Magomedov loads up on a big left hand.
Magomedov fakes the body blow, causing McDougie to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! McDougie goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
