Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Liver Eater!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Namond Moore!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eater swings away with a body shot that misses
and Moore counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Eater is looking for a sweep. Moore is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Moore is looking to advance position but Eater won't allow it.
Moore content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Moore is trying to work for a kimura but Eater is defending well.
Eater actively working from the bottom here.
Moore is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Eater!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moore has hold of Eater's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Eater manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Eater tries to reverse the position but Moore maintains control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Moore tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Moore has hold of Eater's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Eater manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Eater has given up his back.
Moore is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Eater has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Moore has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Eater taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Moore doesn't care though - he's delighted!
