Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nord Licht (ranked 1937 p4p, 2179 weight class) and Patrick Turgeon (ranked 221 p4p, 247 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Patrick Turgeon!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turgeon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Licht but Licht pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A left lands for Licht.
Licht lands with a good body shot.
Nice sprawl there from Licht as Turgeon shoots in.
Licht swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Turgeon slips a jab from Licht.
Licht jabs Turgeon to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Licht swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Turgeon.

It looks like Patrick Turgeon has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Licht misses the shot to the body.
Turgeon shoots for a double leg takedown but Licht sprawls well. He's pushed Turgeon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nord Licht has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrick Turgeon.
Turgeon looks winded!
Licht throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Patrick Turgeon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Licht cracks Turgeon with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Turgeon looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Licht finish him?

Licht has managed to clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Turgeon fails to land.
Licht softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Licht.
Turgeon misses with the head strike.

Licht pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Licht ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Licht drops Turgeon with a huge uppercut! Turgeon drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Licht is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
